KLEIN TOOLS SKRIBES LINE

The design detail that differentiates the Skribes from other markers and marking tools is its triangular barrel profile. It gives users a comfortable grip while simultaneously helping to fix the problem of markers rolling away while uncapped on uneven surfaces, which is helpful for a marker boasting long cap-off life. I was also tasked with creating the iconography used to describe the steps in activating and using the paint marker.

HEATED BASE LAYER VEST

This base layer vest has sewn in heating elements to keep you warm and cozy on the jobsite or just outside in general. The vest has big zipper pulls with a lip to help in zipping up with big gloves while you’re out in the cold, an embroidered logo, and little glowing logo on the button to indicate if it’s on or off. The battery pack, tags on the product, and the vector product illustrations on the packaging were all designed by me.

Tool Station Backpack

An update of the pre-existing Klein Tool Station Backpack but with a molded plastic bottom that increases longevity on the jobsite and a refreshed look from an updated brand language. The updated design adds pockets as well as a USB-C port to route cables from a battery pack inside of the bag to the outside without having to open the bag.

DOUBLE ZIPPER BAGS

The zipper bag, an essential and a favorite product from Klein Tools by many, re-worked for extra organization in a compact shape. Inspired by travel dopp kits, the double zipper bags have two zippers that open to two different compartments as well as a screen printed blank area to write its contents.

STABLIZING KNEE PADS

These knee pads have a bumpout at the bottom that makes staying in place on your knees more comfortable as well as being a good pivot point for small movement.

Utility Cart

The utility cart is made with electricians in mind; holes to hold conduit. notches to cut conduit and two by fours, lots of pockets for bits and pieces, and a taller base height for a more comfortable work surface. Because this comes flat packed, I also created the technical illustrations for the instruction manual.

WORKLIGHT

A double wide update to an existing product with the added benefit of being compatible with the side rail system on the Klein MODbox.

COMPACT LASER LEVEL

A DIY-er focused, small, easy to use laser level. Fits into the pre-existing laser level family while being a little less rugged to feel friendlier to an at-home user.

Compact Planar Laser Level

A smaller footprint rechargeable laser level to fit into the pre-existing laser level family. A simplified version of a larger planar laser level that feels friendlier to for home use.
